Help fight hunger and homelessness this winter!
The Dubuque City Council voted to make addressing homelessness a high priority in 2027. Homelessness has risen in our city in recent years, leading to four times as many people sleeping outside this summer than in 2022.
We are grateful to The City Council for prioritizing fighting homelessness. As a community, we can end homelessness, but only if we do it together. And we need your help!
We have seen a significant increase in people utilizing food and shelter services at the Dubuque Rescue Mission. As the freezing temperatures of winter arrive, many of those sleeping outside will seek beds indoors.
Help us raise $250,000 by October 31 to make sure no one goes hungry and no one has to sleep outside this winter!
Your donation supports additional beds and meals this year so we can meet the increased need of our community. We can’t do this without you!
The Point-in-Time Count, facilitated by Community Solutions of Eastern Iowa, shows the number of individuals experiencing homelessness in Dubuque and Delaware Counties for winter (shelter and unsheltered) and summer (unsheltered).
